Si and Tor as the Frost King and Queen. Bringing more chill oooop north.
A few stilt walker photos from our recent photo shoot. We got through lots of our stilt characters in this shoot but only a small fraction are shown here. Honestly didn’t realise we had so many :S
Check our website www.flambecircus.co.uk/stilt-walkers for more stilt walker photos.
2 new living tables made for a client in early February. Fire and Ice themed drinks tables with appropriate coloured cocktails. Available for bookings.
Flambe unknowingly made me a super chill mohawk for tonight’s Fire & Ice gig that made me look like a cross between Jack Frost and early Elsa concept art.
Also a nice man went a won me a baby polar bear (or the closest thing to one anyway) from the tin can fairground stall to keep me company on my glacier. It’s a funny old life.
Some photos of Holly at our Fire and Ice gig earlier this month. We have now had a photoshoot of our new living tables which will be posted soon. Watch this space.
Had a lot of fun on a photo shoot recently. Using our visual poi to create images and words for a new happy couple. This photo is just a rushes shot as the proper ones are still in edit.
Would any new couples enjoy photos like these? Or how about a live performance using them?
Fire hooping at the Winter Wonderland gig in December. This is what happens to the snow queen after dark.
Check out our Holly doing some lovely Hula hoop at Newmarkets Winterwonderland. Lovely gig with lovely folk for 3 days running.
Some lovely snaps of our fire sign at the Etihad Stadium. We were there for Manchester City. Although they lost, they certainly wanted to make Bonfire night memorable. Along with fire performances at the player entrance there was a massive fireworks display and our fire sign.
The sign stands at 2 meters tall and 6 meters wide. Supported on a moving truss 7 meters off the ground. The biggest sign we have made to date and definitely a fun project. Looking forward to the next one.
as above. we had a lot of fun and lots of tiny finger holes when making this sign but as you can see it was worth the effort.
Last night Man City’s official feed tweeted this picture of me performing with Flambe as part of their bonfire night entertainment. I look kind of gormless, but I guess it’s still kind of cool.
A stunning picture of our Holly performing fire outside the Etihad Stadium player entrance. A lovely bonfire night performance followed swiftly by a fantastic fireworks display with a massive fire sign made by yours truly.
Phew, secret project had its debut this weekend at the UK Face and Body Art Convention. Our mermaid living table made a huge splash with the guests! Along with this we provided stilt walking characters, bubbleologists and a 2 person glow show complete with pixel poi finale.
So this time last week, give or take a day, I was performing at Swingamajig with Flambé. I would very much like to have done it all over again this weekend! Much like the Speakeasy Liverpool crowd of a fortnight ago, the atmosphere was wonderful with a real sense of camaraderie, the music was fancypants and of course everyone looked dapper as fuck.
Met so many great people, including some excellent musicians and two rather splendid sloths when we were getting changed. They seemed to take as much of a liking to us as we did to them!
NB: I found the candid portrait-style shots of Si, Tor & I (aka Team Squinty) found on Flickr, taken by Liz Burkinshaw.
And what a great job you all did as well. I only regret that Helena and I couldn’t get there earlier to join in the performances. We have been asked back next year and so we will get straight onto planning a new show
Photo from last nights performance at the Athena. Really last minute gig but we pulled together a fabulous Aerialist and group fire show. Will add more photos from that amazing night soon.

Troop welcome home party at Dalton Barracks this October.
Over the weekend we debuted our new glow costumes for our Tron themed circus show ‘Disco Wars’. Along with this it was out first performance using our new Pixel Staff producing Union Jacks and welcome home messages for the troops recently back from Afghanistan.
The 2nd routine was a whip performance. Unfortunately one of the performers had to cover a last minute performance elsewhere. We’re sure you will agree. 1 performer is still extremely effective. Whip cracking and fire whips are a rapidly emerging but advanced art.
The videos from the Play Festival fire show have been released and we thought we would share them up here. First routine, ‘Happy Belly’ is a 3 person tech fan spinning piece performed by Si, Helena and Tor.
